The driving force in my work is the relationship between the immensity of the Mind, depicted as magnificent landscapes inspired by the place I am from in Chile and the Human, with its architecture and many dilemas that stand between the two.

Having practicing painting long before I enrolled in Architecture and Dance in Santiago, I approached to Art as a medium of expression from the unconscious as I grew up and Architecture to understand the human marks in the world.  

I have been living in London since 2012 and currently my work is focusing on the Memory of that Landscape with the sense of loss and distance from a Pictorial point of view and by the mediums of Performance.

Lo que mueve mi trabajo es la relación entre la inmensidad de la Mente, representada en paisajes extensos inspirados por el lugar de donde vengo en Chile y lo Humano, con su arquitectura y muchos dilemas que se paran entre los dos.

Habiendo practicado pintura mucho antes de haberme inscrito en Arquitectura y Danza en Santiago, me acerqué al Arte como un medio de expresión del inconsciente cuando fui creciendo y Arquitectura para comprender las marcas de lo Humano en el mundo.

He estado viviendo en Londres desde el 2012 y actualmente mi trabajo se enfoca en la Memoria de ése Paisaje con el sentimiento de pérdida y distancia desde el punto de vista Pictórico y por los medios de la Performance.

Works on Colour / Trabajos en Color
Colours are like fireworks and have an intrinsec meaning
that changes the original message.
Colour is the emotion of the gesture, of the shape.
Colour manages the shape and distorts it, makes its heart to beat,
gives it the drama of Life.
Los colores son como fuegos artificiales y tienen un significado intrínseco
que cambia el mensaje original.
El color es la emoción del gesto, de la forma.
El color maneja a la forma y la distorsiona, la vuelve palpitante
y le otorga el drama de la vida.

Works on Light / Trabajos en Luz
Light is the starting point to all my compositions.
If tone is harmonious, it will work as an image.
This image, stripped from the information of colour,
takes me to the essence of what I want to say.
From the silence and stillness the message comes through.
La luz es el punto de partida para todas mis composiciones.
Si el tono está en harmonía, va a funcionar como imagen.
Ésta imagen, desprovista de la información del color,
me lleva a la esencia de lo que quiero decir.
Del silencio y la quietud el mensaje se manifiesta.
